Sushi roll

I crave fish but fish is expensive in Australia and if I want to eat a variety of fish. I need to go to markets, buy whole fish and cut them. So I usually buy seafood Marinara mix. However, I had never bought it before I lived with my husband so I do not know what I can cook it with.



So I made Sushi with seafood marinara mix.

I cooked marinara mix with Teriyaki sauce and the taste became like Unagi ( Japanese Eel) Sushi rolls. If you like Unagi sushi rolls, have a taste!!



Ingredients


  • 400g Seafood marinara mix

  • Teaspoon of oil

  • ☆2 tablespoons of Soy sauce

  • ☆2 tablespoons of Mirin

  • ☆2 tablespoons of cooking sake

  • ☆1 teaspoon of sugar

  • 3 rice bowls of steamed rice

  • ½ sushi vinegar (adjust for your preference)

  • Sesame seeds (unnecessary)

  • 4 seaweeds

  • ½ cucumber

  • Roll egg



Teriyaki Marinara


  1. Mix ☆ingredients in a bowl

  2. Put oil in the pan and heat up

  3. Cook seafood marinara mix until medium cooked

  4. Add ☆ingredients and cook seafood marinara mix well


Sushi rice

  1. Mix all ingredients until vinegar is absorbed. But do not push rice.

  2. Cool it down


Other preparation

  1. Cut cucumber and egg roll into 6 long piece




Are you ready for making sushi?

Please watch the video. I am sorry it is hard to explain how to make it without showing you...


But I will give you some tips


 
  • Do not put too much rice on the seaweed. It will be big and hard to roll it.

  • Leave some space on the top of the seaweed.

  • Do not hesitate to roll it. Do not think too much.

  • Make a shape with just fingers. Do not use hands.

  • Clean the knife with a wet towel cut sushi each time

 





 

P.S




My favorite sushi ingredients are prawn, cooked tuna, avocado and salmon.

☆Strain oil of tuna can and mix with mayonnaise

☆Mix prawns with 1 clove of grated garlic and mayonnaise
