Egg roll (Tamago yaki)

Egg roll(Tamago yaki) is popular for japanese breakfast. The taste and ingredients are dependent on family and restaurants.


My mum makes egg roll with sugar and this taste reminds me of home.

I also like Dashi egg roll(Dashi yaki tamago) which tastes dashi and very fluffy. But it is a little bit difficult to roll eggs because it is watery so it is hard to make the right shape.


It is easy but you might struggle to roll eggs.

But it’s alright. I also struggled to do it when I started learning. Even me, it is frustrating to make Dashi yaki tamago.



Just mix all ingredients and cook it in the pan.






My mum’s egg roll


Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 teaspoon of milk

  • 1.5 teaspoon of sugar

  • Pinch of salt

 

Dashi yaki tamago


Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 100ml warm water

  • 1 teaspoon of fish stok

  • 1 teaspoon of Mirin


 ☆Mix warm water and fish stock first and then mix all ingredients.

 ☆Dashi yaki tamago is very soft and difficult to roll it. Do not worry too much if you could not make it perfectly. After cooking egg roll, put it on a Makisu with paper towel and reshape it.









Makisu is used to make a rolled sushi
