Hello.
Today's dinner is Okonomiyaki!! I usually cook Okonomiyaki with seafood marinara mix. If you don't like seafood, you can use chicken instead.
Okonomiyaki is normally cooked with cabbage but I prefer to use Chinese cabbage instead because I usually don't finish using cabbage and I like to put Chinese cabbage into soup. Also, Okonomiyaki usually has Katsuo-bushi and Aonori on the top but I do not usually buy them. These are not entirely necessary but make the taste better.
Anyway, my easy lazy Okonomiyaki recipe is here.
Ingredients
100g self rising flour
300g cabbage or Chinese cabbage
1.5 tablespoons of fish stock
1 egg
100ml water
200g seafood Marinara mix
Some spring onions
Topping
Mayonnaise
Okonomiyaki sauce or Takoyaki sauce (It is a sweet Worcestershire sauce)
Cut cabbage/ chinese cabbage, spring onions into small pieces
Mix all ingredients except topping
Pour some oil into the pan and turn on the small to medium size of fire.
After the pan is heated up, pour all mixed ingredients into the pan and put a lid on it.
When the bottom is cooked, flip it like pancakes and continue to cook until inside is cooked.
When it is ready, serve it on a plate and put mayonnaise and Okonomiyaki sauce on the top.
Useful Tips
Do not push the Okonomiyaki after flip it.
If the outside is almost burned, just put it into the oven to cook inside.
