Nitamago (Marinated boiled egg)

Hello.


I guess you know Ramen which Japanese noodle. Have you ever seen boiled egg on the Ramen before? This egg is called Nitamago or Ajitsuki-tamago. The taste of Nitamago depends on families or restaurants. But most of Nitamago is marinated with soy sauce.


Easy to make. Just boil eggs and marinate the sauce.



Ingredients

  • 1.5 tablespoon of Oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of Vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon of Soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of Mirin

  • 50ml Water


☆Heat up all ingredients in the pan until boiling. When it is cool down, pour this sauce into the ziplock with boiled eggs. Marinate it for a half day or overnight.



☆I usually put eggs into the pot after water is boiled and boil eggs for 6 to 7 minutes.


Enjoy Nitamago with steamed rice or noodle!
